| | | Cedar point busier Saturday or Sunday. I was supposed to go to cedar point last month, but i am going in august. i also found out that we would have to go on the weekend. does any one know if saturday or sunday is busier. i would think, that saturday would be busier. also what is the wait for TTD on weekends (Sunday). I am mainly focusing on TTD, because i haven't been on it, then i will hit, Magnum, Millenium, Raptor, Skyhawk, PT Turbo Drop, and Maxair. Should I be able to ride those all in one day?

TTD line will most likely be about an hour and a half or 2 hours on saturday. You can expect the same wait or longer for Maverick if you plan to ride that as well.
If you also have a season pass or stay in a hotel on-site you can go in the park an hour early.
I'm sure saturday will be busier than sunday but not by much.

Through about mid August, and the best weather during weekends, Saturdays can pack in over 30,000 people. That means long lines for everything. I've seen weekend Saturdays in excess of 50,000 people which means the bathrooms have a 10 minute waits and every quene was overfilled. |

| | | The last weekend i went to CP Saturday was packed with every coaster at or over an hour wait except Mean Streak & Blue Streak and then sunday every ride has about a 15-30 min wait except MF, TTD & Maverick. I also went that friday which was in between sat & sun for wait times.
The saturday i still got to ride everything including the flat rides and half of the rides i got to do twice. Sunday i rode everything twice in about half the day. By days end i had ridden every coaster except the kiddie ones and the 3 major flats about 5-8 times.
Fridays wait for TTD was about an hour and a half. Saturday was 2 hours & sunday was an hour.
Hope that helps. You'll still have alot of fun no matter what the crowds are like. Most of the rides are well worth the wait.

| | | Sundays at Cedar Point generally aren't too bad. Yesterday and the previous Sunday were the busiest Sundays I've seen all season (I've been to the park every Sunday this season except one), but that was mostly because some large groups were there. Yesterday, the Cleveland Clinic was there, so that group filled up the park.
Saturdays are just going to be insane. You should be able to ride everything if you make a plan, but you'll be waiting a long time. Sunday is a better day to go.
Go to Dragster first. On Sundays, the wait will pick up after the morning Point Perks, but it probably won't really be longer than 45 minutes. Maverick will fill up, but the wait is never longer than 1 1/2 hours if all six trains are running and it doesn't break down.
To ride the coasters you want, you should have no problem. Go to Raptor in the afternoon since the line will die down. Magnum's wait shouldn't be bad. MaXair's line is never bad.
You should be fine.

| | | I have only been one time for Halloweekends and suprisngly lines were not that bad. Alot of the people are in the lines for the haunts.
That was 2004 though. Either way the lines should be average since alot of people will be in the haunts.

| | | I moved this to Travel Tips.
Also, Sunday are bound to be less crowded as most people need to get ready for work for Monday Morning.

| | Sundays are way less crowded than Saturdays, both from what I've heard and according to this website ( WhenToRide.Com - Roller Coaster Wait Time Data: Cedar Point).

| | | I went to Cedar Point Saturday July 19 and Sunday July 20 and while it was busier Saturday, I honestly didn’t notice that much of a difference. Now my schedule each day was as follows: 9-2 Ride 2-5 Lunch and Nap 5-10 Ride Since I was never in the park between 2-5, I can’t really comment on the wait or crowd in the middle of the day. I also hit all the big rides really early or later in the evening. I think I rode all the rides you listed on Saturday the 19th except for Raptor, but that day I did ride Disaster Transport, The Rapid Ride, and I did MF twice, so I imagine I could have done Raptor that day if I had tried. The only reason I ever had to wait an hour or more was because of weather or breakdowns. I waited over and hour for Maverick because it was stopped for rain for 20 minutes. I got in line for TTD four times, but only rode it twice. My first ride was Saturday at 10:30 a.m. The wait was about 40 minutes. I went back around noon and after only two cars were launched it broke down so I got out of line. I went back to ride again at 10 that night. After waiting 30 minutes, the ride shut-down for 20 minutes, then is started back up for about ten minutes but it started raining really hard and it was after 11 so they just shut it down at that point. The next day, Sunday, I got in line for TTD again at around 8:30 p.m. It ended up being about a 90 minute wait because the ride again broke down for about 30 minutes while I was in line.

| | | I never understood why every ride in the park shuts down for sprinkling rain or atleast it did when i went. It was sprinkling off and on all day so every ride kept shutting down all day. That was very annoying.
Most of the rides stayed down well after the sprinkling stopped just to finally reopen as it started sprinkling again.

| | | At least with Millennium Force and Dragster, it's pretty apparent why those two have to shut down during any form of precipitation.

| | | Yes. I can understand those two but every coaster and flat ride i did not understand.
I got caught on MF years ago when it started pouring just as we reached the top of the lift. The back of my hands were so red from covering my face the entire ride.
