SFGrAdv, Dorney, Hershey, Knoebels (2009)

I'm just in the preliminary stages of course of thinking of going next year on a Penn/NJ trip.

We were thinking of mid-June. Is there a better time than others for this area? I know schools will be out, but how is the weather then and just any general tips.

We'll of course try to do Great Adventure on a week day.

June is when the SFGADV begins to turn over to the summer crowd. I made a mid June visit crossing my fingers and realizing I was probably not going to be back til September. It turned out alright. I really want to return to the park now in the next two weeks. I'm itching for my homepark.

Early June is walk-on city at Dorney Park.

Not sure about SFGadv but i went to Hershey & Dorney in June of 2004 & June of 2005. Both times it was around the first week in june and both parks were pretty dead.

I rember every ride at Hershey being a wak-on to a 10 min wait including SR & Dorney had about the same wait. The first trip i rode Hydra (New for that year) about 20 times so that tells you how dead the park was if Hydra was a walk-ok.

So if it was that dead 2 years in a row then the next trip i make to HP & DP you better believe i'll go the first week in june.

I went to Dorney earlier this month on a Friday and it was a Ghost Town, the waterpark was packed but the regular park itself was a walk on on every ride. the only wait I had was about two trains for Voodoo
