I am so excited I may get to stay with some friends that live near Carowinds Labor Day Weekend. I intend to go and buy the Platinum Pass while it is on sale to get myself set up for next year to revisit Carowinds for the Intimidator as well as go to King's Island and Cedar Point. My question is how many days do I need to ride the coasters, I also would like to do the rampage and any other cool family rides too. Is one day enough or should I plan for two. I could drive over Friday and go Saturday (although I try to avoid parks on Saturdays) and go Sunday also if needed or I could drive over on Saturday and just go Sunday (less busy?) but I want to make sure one day would be enough. Thanks for any help! I would have to be on the road Monday to drive back home.

One day should be fine. Everything can easily be done more than once on any given day. Sat will be a bit more busy but i would suggest sunday but u really could do either day. I would just suggest you ride Nighthawk first. No matter how busy the park is it always has an hour to 2 hour wait cause load times are so slow on that. Then maybe Cobra & Afterburn next and the rest of the rides should be very quick.

You should have ridden every coaster by 3-4pm or even earlier depending on crowds.

Yes, ride Intimidator, even though its is still under construction....Carowinds is a small park thank goodness and everything can be done in one day.

Dude, I'm going to be there labor day weekend on Sunday also =D. I think Sunday will be better than Sat.There's lots of people gone to church and things like that that day so It will be a little less crowded.

Thanks everyone! I thought I would probably buy a two day ticket, it looks like it is cheaper online. I thought I would do the Boomerang Bay too but it says several attractions may be closed. I was just curious how much parking is. I see a parking pass for one day is $10 online, is that cheaper than paying at the park? I do appreciate the help. I bought some stock in Cedar Fair last year and have never been in a Cedar Fair park, I am remedying that situation this year and next!

Parking is $10. Some attractions in the waterpark may be closed due to staffing but most if not all the slides will be open. More than likely the lagoon and the old wave pool will be closed.

Do hit the Hurler. The front seat is amazing on that ride but anywhere else it's kinda blah.

Thanks again. I have decided since I am staying with friends to just go on Sunday and spend Saturday with my friends. Hopefully Sunday will be less busy. I am not that big a fan of flyer coasters so I will do all the other coasters and if I have time stand in line for Nighthawk. It has gotten cooler here lately so I can do without Boomerang Bay although I will walk over and check it out. I am banking on your guys' knowledge that I can get the coasters and at least the rampage in on one day. I'm getting excited! Gotta get that Platinum Pass while is cheapest! This will be the farthest East I've been. It will be crazy passing the Pigeon Forge exit, I am so use to getting off there for Dollywood!

Your welcome. You should have no problem riding every coaster & ride at the park on Sunday even with waiting an hour for Nighthawk. I'll be working that day so stop and say hi while on the Cobra. I'll even throw you back on if your a single rider. There's almost always one empty seat.
