| East Coaster Tour
East Coaster Tour I have been planning on taking some sort of really long drawn out tour of all the major amusement parks that the east coast has to offer, however, I verily well know I am not aware of at least half of them (or I am, and they just don’t come up often enough for me to know them well.) To continue, I was planning some overly-extensive trip to just about every park there is between my home park (ya’ll should know this) BGW, and that one way up there at the point what was it called, oh yeah, CP. The plan is to take the first really big bite out of travel and planning by using one whole 10+ hour day driving up to Cedar Point, spend 1 or 2 days there depending on what time of the season it is and how much I want to do, then work my way down all the way back home. This is where I need a lot of help from everyone here who knows the east coast theme parks and what is good at each one of them. For instance, I know once I’m done at CP there are definitely more parks in Ohio left to visit, a few Six Flags along the way down, Dorney, and Kennywood are somewhere in there, Hershey Park, maybe even Sesame Place if I feel like it, down to Kings Dominion and finally back home at BGW. While I am definitely broadening my horizons with this trip I would like to focus a little more on Wooden Roller Coasters. Are there any classic wooden roller coasters that cannot be missed? Things along the lines of Jack Rabbit and Thunderbolt at Kennywood. If there is anyone out there that has done something similar or just knows the East Coast well could you please help me fill in all the blank spots by listing all the parks, wooden coasters, etc, don’t worry about telling me where they are or how to get there, I’ll take care of that. If you have visited a certain park quite a bit and know about how long I should stay there, tricks on getting through the park faster so I can spend one day as opposed to two, or how to get through a 1 day park in half the time, I’d love the extra help and then extra time either at each park, or a slightly more relaxed drive to the next one. Since I don’t do something like this often (actually this is the first time) and since I am announcing this on TN I will agree to do something I normally never do after a roller coaster vacation. I will write a full trip report complete with individual coaster and park reviews and then photos where I can manage. I am clearly not a photographer when it comes to photos but I’ll try to get some interesting angles and shots I haven’t seen yet. The trip report will be put onto this very thread shortly after the trip is over and I have returned home. I plan to do this probably as soon as my spring semester of college is over. (Last exam day is May 6). That way I am avoiding the much earlier spring break vacations, and will most likely beat public schools to the punch. So without further ado: Any suggestions anyone?

There are a lot of us who know the East Coast. The only thing is that we all know our home park, for instance, SFGAdv- Leo, Carowinds- Wes and Carowinds 73-03, DW- well there's alot of them, SFOG- me, etc. If there's anything you need to know about SFOG, feel free to ask me.
