TN to offer paid subscriptions

Because of rising costs, ThrillNetwork will begin offering tiered subscription services April 5. Falling ad income and increased operational costs have led ThrillNetwork to charge for select services.

After months of heated debate, ThrillNetwork.com has decided to become BenchNetwork.

BenchNetwork will be all about benches, since they’re generally free to ride. They have also consistently proven to provide as much thrill as a roller coaster has.

Red Zone purchases ThrillNetwork for $500k

In a move that has been in the works for the past four months, ThrillNetwork.com has been purchased by Dan Snyder’s Red Zone for $500,000.

As part of the deal, Publisher Alex Westerman and Webmaster Steven Heicher will cede control of the site to Red Zone. From there, Red Zone will turn over the management of the site to MSN, where, starting Monday, the site will be converted to use the .NET login (Windows Live Login). Red Zone will maintain ownership of the site while cross promoting it with Six Flags, Johnny Rockets, and its other entertainment properties.

Busch Gardens Tampa Bay’s Baby Gorilla Named

TAMPA, Fla. – Busch Gardens Tampa Bay’s baby western lowland gorilla has been successfully reintroduced to his mother, Kishina.

Kishina is nursing her baby and displaying great interest and care towards her newborn. Kishina and the baby will remain off guest view while the park’s animal care specialists and veterinary staff maintain close observation of nursing and maternal care behaviors.

Home Movies Wanted for Documentary

The Discovery Channel is about to start making a brand new documentary looking at the second golden age of wooden roller coaster construction. The programme’s going to be shown in the Spring next year and they are looking for help from Coaster enthusiasts.

Geauga Guide posts 2005 update

Monday, May 2nd, 2005

Geauga Guide has updated with 39 photos from Geauga Lake’s "Community Day" event on May 1.

The doors to the park were opened to allow local residents to preview some of the new attractions Geauga Lake is debuting this year. Visitors were allowed to meet with Snoopy and the rest of the Peanuts gang.
