Since you are reading this article on a website called ThrillNetwork, there is a good chance that you’re at least a bit into roller coasters and all things thrilling.

So you think you’re a park connoisseur. You wake up early, get a
good parking space, slap on the sunscreen and prepare for a long day at
the amusement park. What if I told you there’s a different version over
here in sunny California? What about waking up late-way late-grabbing
your surfboard, hopping on the bike, and cruising down to the Santa
Cruz Beach Boardwalk? Santa Cruz has a living historic
landmark, the Beach Boardwalk. Home to a large collection of flat
rides, the oldest operating roller coaster on the west coast, and an
arcade large enough to drain all the quarters you can ever carry. The
Beach Boardwalk has enough fun for many generations to come, and much
more. One visit and you’ll be hooked! (more…)

Last month I had the opportunity to take a construction tour of the soon-to-reopen Ghost Town in the Sky theme park, located in Maggie Valley, NC.
David King, Sales and Marketing Manger was kind enough to take me up to the park for a tour.
For those unfamiliar with Ghost Town in the Sky, the park first opened its doors in June 1961 as one of the first theme parks in North Carolina (preceding Carowinds by 12 years). Ghost Town is a Wild West-themed park where adventure waits around every corner.

Friday the 13th of April dawned cold and full of you might say, a little mystery in the air. I was on-hand for the official opening and media day for Dollywood’s latest $17.5-million dollar steel coaster “Mystery Mine”.
In true Dollywood tradition, Dolly Parton herself was on-hand to debut her park’s newest attraction. After the initial media interviews and preliminaries, the crowd that had gathered was ready to take on the mystery that is Mystery Mine.

Sea World, located just outside San Antonio, is building a new water ride called Journey to Atlantis. They invited me to take a hard-hat construction tour of their new attraction, which was arranged by ThrillNetwork’s Editor-In-Chief Katie. The tour turned out great and I got to see the ride like no one outside the construction crew and management team has seen it. (more…)
