-Got to the Point around almost 4. Met up with Rebecca and went on a behind the scenes walk through Blood on the Bayou. Very cool during the day, at night; even better!
-Got to go into Haunt Central where everyone got dressed and got their haunted make-up done. It was a neat set-up that they had going on in the ballroom above the arcade. Bill Sphen gave some of them a pep rally to get them ready to go for making the houses scary!
-Rebecca took us back to Maverick, where we were greeted with a 2 hour line and I let the boys go ride while I waited with all of the bags.
-Rebecca left us and we headed into the Eternity Infirmiry line. It was about 30-40 minute wait. It was pretty good house. The end of it scared the living daylights out of me. There is video of it. I am sure you will laugh.
-Walked up towards Dodgems to see the Overlord make his speech to the screamsters. Got him on video. Pretty cool talk. When the screamsters were told to go out and scare, they were going after everyone on the midway, which was hysterical. Poor teenage girls. It was a funny site.
-We got in line for Happy Jack’s Toy Factory. It was a seriously long line. It was so windy out that it made it worse. We were behind this group that decided to be dumb and encourage a high school aged kid to jump the back fence near Disaster Transports door. The door was open, the kid went in and a few minutes later came bounding out. I was so ticked off at the lack of judgement this kid had. There were no policemen, or ride attendants in our line, so we called CP Police to report the stupidity. They took my name and number, took the kids statement and then let him back in line. So ridiculous. They should have escorted him out of the park and his group. Nope, they waited for us to get out of Happy Jack’s to start crap with us. People will never learn.
-Happy Jack’s was AMAZING! That is my favorite haunted house and was just as good as last time. The screamsters were good, but the last one WAS AMAZING. He jumped off a table and lunged at me, making me scream bloody murder. Joey was giggling like a school girl at my fear. LMAO It was a site to be seen. After that I was laughing myself, that particular guy was so awesome.
-Headed back to Blood on the Bayou and was within two minutes. The line was constantly moving as the trail was long enough to have many people in at once. The screamsters were really good. The fog and blinding lights made it better. The captain of Paddlewheel Excursions asked us if we wanted “one last ride”. We declined, because frankly, the dude was a bit creepy. If you catch my drift.
-We took the loop around the back of the park again to get to Screamworks (which is formally known as the “Fright Zone”) It was all steam-punkish. The fog was a little much, but the trail was cool. Lots of police and screamsters present throughout. The screamsters tried to scare us, but we were laughing too hard at the teenage girls they were targeting more. It’s too hard not to laugh at that.
-We were done for the night as it was so dang windy and cold. We headed out of the park, did a little shopping and headed home.
I will be adding more photos throughout the night and tomorrow as well as some videos that we took. Here is a link to the rest of my pictures on Facebook until I upload more.
