Tennessee's first water coaster rushing to Dollywood's Splash Country

After the successful debut of Dollywood's Wild Eagle this season, Dolly Parton and the folks didn't want to waste any time to bring similar thrills to its Splash Country water park.

RiverRush, the first ProSlide hydromagnetc-propelled water coaster in Tennessee, will be the end result, opening May 2013, as Dolly announced today with the assistance of Splash Man.

The water coaster will be four stories tall and feature a length of 1,175 feet, an initial drop of 25 feet at a 45 degree angle, and a total of four hydromagnetic-propelled hills, along with several hairpin turns and dark tunnels as it navigates through the trees and terrain. Each raft can handle up to 4 people, with a capacity of up to 720 people per hour.

RiverRush will be located near Big Bear Plunge, a whitewater-rafting inspired slide.
