• Alpine Coaster for Pigeon Forge

    The city of Pigeon Forge has approved an Alpine Coaster attraction to be built in Pigeon Forge. The Alpine coaster is said to be a mile long and reach speeds of up to 25 mph. It will use the mountain terrain near Wear Valley Road.

    A couple from Germany is heading up the venture. If everything goes as planned the coaster will be open for business by the end of the year.

      There's an alpine slide at Ober Gatlinburg in Gatlinburg.

      Sweet! Can't wait to ride my first alpine coaster.

      The alpine slide is pretty mild at Ober Gatlinburg, but fun.

      The only reason I went to Ober Gatlinburg was for the alpine slide and it was closed. Disappointing. This sounds fun, though.
