The Park at MOA to become world’s first Nickelodeon theme park

Mall of America and Nickelodeon announced a partnership today combining the country’s largest shopping and entertainment destination with the number-one entertainment brand for kids. Under the new agreement, various Nickelodeon properties and characters will come to life in the first-ever Nickelodeon themed park, part of a re-branding of the Mall’s seven-acre amusement park. Fresh designs and exciting new rides and attractions, inspired by Nickelodeon’s popular shows and characters, are just a few of the anticipated changes.

Thomas Town slated for two Six Flags parks in 2007

Six Flags Over Texas cuts trans fats from menu items

With the exception of Funnel Cakes, Six Flags Over Texas will have discontinued the use trans fat from its menu items when it reopens for the 2007 on March 10.

Trans fats are found in many processed foods and solid forms of fats, like shortenings and some margarines. The danger, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, is that there is a direct relationship between consuming foods high in trans fats and elevated LDL — or "bad" — cholesterol. That can increase a person’s risk of coronary heart disease, the number one killer in the United States.

Six Flags and Chase Card Services enter marketing alliance

Bell’s Amusement Park begins dismantling Zingo

Since the middle of January, Bell’s Amusement Park in Tulsa, OK has been dismantling its rides and midway in preparation for a possible relocation.

The park’s most iconic attraction, the 39-year old Zingo wooden roller coaster, will be dismantled in a time frame of 12 weeks and an estimated five months to rebuild in its new location.

Disney sues city of Anaheim over housing plan

As a last resort to halt the continuation of plans for a residential development in the resort district, Disney officials have filed suit against the city of Anaheim. Disney Cruise Line orders new ships, doubles fleet
