Hard Rock Park prepares to kick its doors open

Six Flags to report fourth quarter, full year 2007 results

Six Flags announced it will hold a Web cast teleconference for analysts and investors on March 10, 2008.

Six Flags, Inc. has announced that it will hold a fourth quarter and full year 2007 teleconference for analysts and investors at 8 a.m. Easter Time on Monday, March 10, 2008. Participants in the conference call will include President and CEO Mark Shapiro and CFO Jeff Speed.

Six Flags shoots audiences for the moon

Six Flags, Inc. announced today a partnership with nWave Pictures that will bring the excitement of Apollo 11 and the first walk on the moon to millions of park guests this season.

FLY ME TO THE MOON – 3D, a ride simulation based on the animated feature film releasing this summer, features the voices of Kelly Ripa, Christopher Lloyd and Nicolette Sheridan and will be the featured attraction at 3D theaters at Six Flags Great Adventure, in Jackson, NJ and Six Flags Over Texas, in Arlington, TX.

Busch Gardens coming to Dubai

(Feb. 28, 2008) – Busch Entertainment Corporation (BEC), the family entertainment division of Anheuser-Busch Cos., today announced an agreement with Nakheel PJSC, one of the world’s largest property developers, to create the Worlds of Discovery – SeaWorld, Aquatica, Busch Gardens and Discovery Cove – on The Palm Jebel Ali in Dubai.

Indiana Beach sold to Morgan RV Resorts

One injured following attraction fire at Animal Kingdom

The Kilimanjaro Safaris at Disney’s Animal Kingdom is scheduled to reopen when the park opens today, a day after a fire on the popular ride injured one woman, officials said.

The ride was closed Sunday after the fire broke out in the engine compartment of one of the ride vehicles sometime between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m., Disney spokeswoman Andrea Finger said. It is standard procedure to close a ride after an accident or malfunction.

Carowinds posts Bondi Beach construction photos

Late last week Carowinds posted some new photos of the construction progress for the new Bondi Beach wave pool in the Boomerang Bay waterpark.

As can be seen from one of the photos, the new wave pool will be only feet from the forward side of Thunder Road.
