WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – A menagerie of exotic animals and world-famous animal ambassadors are on safari at Busch Gardens for “Wild Days.” Animal ambassadors Julie Scardina and Virginia Busch will be at the park May 31 – June 1, followed by Jack Hanna on June 7 – 8. (more…)

Cedar Point’s Wildcat remains closed a week after an accident that hurt 10 people.
On May 16, a car didn’t make it up the lift hill and rolled back. It ran into another car.
Nine people were treated for their injuries at the park, and one was taken to the hospital. A park spokesman said the ride won’t operate until the cause of the accident is determined.

Six Flags St Louis, in response to the sluggish economy, has lowered their ticket prices.
Tickets purchased at the park’s website are only $29.99; tickets purchased at the park are $34.99.

Watauga County commissioners have unanimously approved a deal that will keep Tweetsie Railroad chugging into the future.
The park’s train runs across land that the park does not own, but leases. The land owners are no longer willing to lease the land and the county stepped in.

A Yo-Yo collapsed Friday at the Calaveras County, Calif., Fairgrounds, injuring 18 people.
The carnival portion of the fair was shut down Friday, but the rest of the grounds stayed open.
Three people were flown to the hospital with serious injuries, said the marketing director of the fairgrounds. Others injured were taken for treatment by ambulance or bus.

A dolphin died after colliding with another during a stunt at Discovery Cove.
Two dolphins were performing and leapt into the air, where they collided. Sharky, a 30-year-old dolphin, died. The other dolphin was uninjured, a park spokeswoman said.
