Skeletal remains were found on some cliffs by Six Flags Fiesta Texas.
Security personnel found the remains, which also had some clothing near them. The remains were not in any public area, said a spokesman for the San Antonio Police Department.

Hard Rock Park announced on its Web site that it is closed for the season "to allow management to focus on restructuring efforts."
The announcement says the park will reopen in 2009. The announcement says the closure will help the park reduce debt and ensure it can stay around.

A group is planning on building a theme park between Phoenix and Tucson, Ariz.
The group, One Dream, One Team, wants a 350-acre park near Florence. The group says the park, called Coyote Canyon, will be themed on Arizona history and geography and will include a roller coaster that goes underground.

The date won’t be moved ahead in the trial of a girl whose feet were severed on a ride at Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom.
The family of Kaitlyn Lasitter requested the trial be moved earlier than Jan. 12, 2010, but the judge denied the request. Jefferson Circuit Judge Barry Willett said the date is reasonable, but he ordered the parties to attempt to resolve the claims before the pretrial in November 2009.

The Six Flags chain announced today additions and changes at many of its parks for 2009
Six Flags Over Georgia’s Monster Plantation will be renovated and renamed to Monster Mansion. The attraction, which opened in 1981, features music, animatronics and a family-friendly story. It will be changed to have new characters interactive elements and a new story.
