Today TEA (Themed Entertainment Association) released the results of the 2008 attendance figures for theme parks around the globe. The top 20 US parks welcomed 122.7 million with a 3.9% increase in attendance. There was confirmation of Destination parks being hurt by the economy while visitors looked to their local parks. Disney again took the top 5 spots and 6 of the top 10 spots for US park attendance.

Today FPI MB Entertainment LLC announced the new name for the former Hard Rock Park. Freestyle Music Park is the name that represents the company’s vision and future direction for the park. Freestyle Music Park will continue to feature a rock n roll aspect but now as part of a theme that will expand its reach into country, reggae, beach music, pop, R&B, alternative, Christian, and disco.
