The safety manager at Lotte World theme park faces charges of neglecting safety after a stampede injured 35 people last week.
Police questioned over a dozen managers after the stampede. Three were charged. The most serious charges seem to be on the safety manager. The park is being critized for pushing ahead with their "free admission" plan after they were warned a stampede could happen.
More than 100,000 people showed up at the first day, even though the park’s capacity is 35,000. The park had 200 safety guards on duty, but only 50 were mobilized.
