A 12-year-old and 11-year-old girl both fell out of the swinging Swing Drop ride at South Korean’s Kumdori Land on Sunday. The two girls fell about 115 feet and were both taken to a hospital, where they remain in critical condition.

Yesterday police said that two employees had neglected to check the riders’ safety belts, leading to the injuries. Swing Drop will remain closed for a month and police say they are seeking to impose additional penalties. Officials are also trying to see if the ride had any technical problems.
