A Horry County official stated that there was no winning bidder for the Myrtle Beach theme park and in here words: “No one now owns the park, now it’s in the hands of the court.”
A judge’s ruling on the sale was expected yesterday, but nothing has been announced as of yet.
According to other news sources, PARC Management contacted Myrtle Beach officials, and asked the city and county to each pitch in $5 million for a joint effort to buy the park. But Myrtle Beach Mayor John Rhodes declined the offer, as he felt the city couldn’t take the risk.
