The Cyclone roller coaster at Lakeside Amusement Park in Denver has been closed, maybe for the rest of the summer.
The park’s spokeswoman, Connie Moore, said the park tried to spruce up the ride for its 70th anniversary, but maintenance fell behind schedule, closing the ride.
Moore wouldn’t say what the repairs are. She said the coaster will be running again, if not this summer, next year. She said bad weather and late deliveries of lumber were reasons for the delay.
Mention of Cyclone has been removed from the park’s Web site.
Cyclone has been operating since 1940.

That's pretty sad considering it was an anniversary year and there are few offerings in Colorado. I'm counting on that coaster whenever I'll get there.
