A Cedar Point seasonal employee, who is working his second season at the amusement park and was reported missing when he failed to report to work last week Saturday, has been reported found in the Detroit area.
Rolland Hamiel, 20, of Oak Park, Mich, was last seen at work on Friday, but failed to report to work the next day.
According to Cedar Point spokeswoman Robin Innes, Hamiel’s father called her Saturday morning with the news of his location.
Hamiel did not have a car, and like many Cedar Point seasonal employees, lived in the employee dorms. His paycheck, issued Friday, had not been cashed. He had also recently changed dorm rooms, but park officials were unable to ascertain why the change was made.

wow this is kinda strange. Well i would think that he like drove away cause he hates his job, but he lives in a dorm in the park! Well that changes everything. All i know is they need to find him or get a new employee there. I hope they find him!!!
Uh, I think you need to read that story a bit closer... your comment sounds a bit out of line by saying "get another employee there." I hope they find him, too, but I hope he's alive.
Any possibility the "bomb" scare and this are related somehow?
What "bomb" scare are you talking about?
Good to see he's been found, and alive.
I was fearing this would not end this well. I'm thrilled to have been wrong!
Knowing how CP works, it sounds like he won't have a job there again.
^There's not too many places you can just abandon your job and expect to have it back when you return.
There was a suspiscious device found in the parking lot and the police took it and disposed of it by using a robot to explode it.
That incident had nothing to do with the kid abandoning his job (if he did so the whole story isn't out yet). That was a separate incident and there was a guy from PA charged with inducing a so called panic.
^^ and ^ that really must have been nothing, because every newspaper I read mentioned nothing of the incident.
I knew he should have taken that left turn at Albuquerque. Glad he is OK.
