The classic wooden roller coaster Cyclone at Lakeside Amusement Park in Denver has reopened after being closed much of the summer.
Cyclone was closed in June for repairs for its 70th anniversary. It has reopened and will run for three weekends. Cyclone turns 70 next season.
Lakeside said it was adding new lumber and new parts, and the repairs took longer than expected. But it’s up and “running properly” now, a spokeswoman said.
Lakeside is open from noon till closing through Labor Day and the two weekends following.
