Disney apparently wants to spread the happiness from the “Happiest Place On Earth” to the rest of the planet.
Starting January 1, you will be able to sign up to volunteer for a day with a participating organization. After your service is completed and verified, you’ll get a one day admission to Walt Disney World or Disneyland for free!
The company is hoping to inspire one million people to volunteer a day of their lives to help others.

I think its a great idea! It serves as a multi purpose promotion. It helps get people to volunteer for worthy causes and then it also helps Disney from a public relations standpoint as more of a caring company.
