Holiday World set an attendance record with more than 1 million visitors this season.
It is the fourth season in a row more than 1 million people visited the family-run amusement park in Santa Claus, Ind. The official total was 1,039,359 guests.
Holiday World President Will Koch attributes the new Pilgrims Plunge water ride as a reason for the record-breaking crowds. Pilgrims Plunge is an Intamin chute ride. It is the tallest water ride in the world.
Next season, Holiday World is opening the world’s longest water coaster, Wildebeest, at the water park, Splashin’ Safari.
