Holiday World announced it is putting Timberliner trains on Voyage next season.
The trains are made by The Gravity Group, the same company that made Voyage. The park says the trains will make Voyage “feel faster and a lot smoother.” Park President Will Koch says the trains “will help a lot” year after year.
Koch says the trains will create less wear and tear because they are engineered to handle the twisted track. The seats will be padded and ergonomically designed for comfort. The park says the seats will accommodate people with wider hips and longer legs.
Voyage will get two of the Timberliner trains, which will replace the Philadelphia Toboggan Company trains currently in use. They will seat 28 riders.

This is going to make Voyage just that much better! I can't wait for Holiwood Nights next year. I had a feeling they were getting the Timberliners, but on Legend. They went balls to the wall and putting them on Voyage. Should be fantastic!
Is it going to strike fear in my superior opinion of El Toro? Is it a rescue option for our highly despised Son of Beast?
I'm waiting for someone to start complaining about the trains on here. Lol.
^ OK, they're ugly. Wait is over.
I'm a bit apprehensive about them- why fix what isn't broken?
Then again, they're designed by GG, so I'm figuring they're probably an improvement.
sigh....I dunno. I think the reason Voyage is so good is that out of control, sitting in your neighbor's lap feeling.
I maintain that the most wicked, out of control experience in the coaster world I've ever had, was a night time ride on The Voyage in the very last row.
^I totally love the back seat in the pitch black. It is the most craziest out of control feeling I have ever experienced! There are a bunch of us who even wear our sunglasses at night, makes it darker! Yeah, we are weird!

My last ride on Voyage was in the back seat just after the sun had gone down. It wasn't completely dark, but it was darn close. It was the best ride I've ever had on a roller coaster.
Exactly. I can without a hesitation say that the night ride in the very last row of The Voyage is my personal best trip on a rollercoaster I've ever had.
I agree the fall affair night rides were the best coaster experience I have ever had...
But, I'll clarify my other statement a bit- GG has never disappointed me yet. I'm assuming they will not do so now. I am a bit concerned, though.
And, if the new trains DO affect the ride in anegative way, it's not like putting PTC's back on it is not an option. Will loves coasters, Voyage is his baby, and I highly doubt that he's going to let the ride quality be spoiled.
Never tried it at night in the fall, but I got a night ride in the last row after a late Spring thunderstorm, and it was my single best coaster experience, ever.
I've heard that Voyage is undeniably rough in some spots. I guess some people like the out of control, being thrown around feeling, but I wouldn't say Holiday World is 'fixing something that aint broken.' When it opened it was very smooth, and it's lost some of that smoothness over 4 years. I bet these trains will assure this coaster holds the top spot until the next big GG coaster is built. Consider these trains like MSG on your food, unnecessary but keeps it 'like new.'
Heh, don't know about that last one now...
