A fire was reported in a Cedar Point maintenance building around 9:00 p.m. local time this evening, with three reported injuries to responding firefighters.
Cedar Point firefighters responded, and later requested Sandusky, Huron, Perkins, and Margaretta fire departments to aid in extinguishing the fire in the two story maintenance near Perimeter Road. One firefighter was transported to the hospital with possible burns, and two were transported for heat exhaustion. All were treated then released.
The building is not within the park itself, but as a precaution, ride operations shut down three rides: Power Tower, Super Himalaya, and Corkscrew. The fire has not interrupted other park operations, and the closed rides have resumed operation.
Officials continue to search for the cause, which they believe to be accidental in nature.

Can I be the first one to say DAMN IT I wish it was Mean Streak?
I wonder if it was electrical.
Ha, I know. Glad no one was seriously injured, though I did hear a Firefighter got hurt.
