NORWICH, Ct. (Thrillnetwork.com) -- Seems likely that southeastern Connecticut could soon be the home to a brand new theme park built by a virtually unknown movie studio.

The proposed theme park, planned for the site of the former Norwich Hospital which is 470 acres large, will contain a movie studio, 700-room hotel and a college for the performing arts.  The total price tag is expected to be near $600 million.

Who's footing the bill?  A movie studio by the name of Utopia Studios, a company comprised of individuals such as actress Cathy Moriarty, her financier husband Max Howard, Francesca Hilton (daughter of Zsa Zsa Gabor and hotel mogul Conrad Hilton), and an unnamed Hollywood executive that has worked for Warner Bros., Disney, and Dreamworks.

According to the movie studio, there are other sites being considered for the project...however, Connecticut seems most likely.
