News: Man sues Holiday World for Raven deathBy Aaron |
May. 4th, 2005 --
Nearly two years after Tamar Fellner fell out of Holiday World's Raven roller coaster and was killed, her father is suing the park and Philadelphia Toboggan Coasters Inc., which constructed the ride's cars. Fellner claims that his daughter was not properly restrained before the ride began and that PTC should have made its trains safer. However, a federal investigation conducted after the incident says that no criminal charges should be brought because officials say Tamar Fellner stood up in the middle of the ride. Several witnesses said they saw her get up as the car approached a drop. The investigation also concluded that Fellner's seatbelt was properly fastened when the train left the station, but was unfastened when the train returned. The lawsuit is said to seek more than $75,000 in damages, but the exact number is unknown. See TheIndyChannel.com for more information. |
