News: Epcot holds Hidden Mickey hunt

May. 13th, 2005 -- Guests strolling through the gardens at Epcot aren't just admiring the plants anymore. At the theme park's International Flower & Garden Festival, visitors are challenged to find 50 Hidden Mickeys hidden in the blooms, the grass, the stones-anywhere in the park. The 50 Mickey shapes are in honor of the 50th anniversary of Disneyland this year.

A Hidden Mickey consists of a circle with two smaller circles on top of it, to represent Mickey's head and ears. They are usually concealed in Disney theme parks, but can also be found in Disney movies, T.V. shows, and more.

In addition to the Hidden Mickeys, the festival also features giant topiaries of Micky, Donald, Pluto, Minnie, and Goofy; a butterfly house; and a garden of edible plants that also serves as a playground.
