May. 27th, 2005 -- Paramount's Kings Dominion Begins Daily Operations this Weekend

New TOMB RAIDER: FIREFALL adventure attraction brings Hollywood thrills to life!

DOSWELL, Va.-Celebrating 30 years of family fun and excitement, Paramount's Kings Dominion opens this weekend for daily operations. The park is open daily Saturday, May 28 through Monday, September 5. This summer, guests can take advantage of a number of new attractions, favorites and special events at the 400-acre theme and water park, including:

TOMB RAIDER: FIREFALL: This season's new multi-sensory adventure attraction is inspired by Paramount Pictures' blockbuster films. Combining high thrills with a unique environmental theme and special effects, this new attraction launches adventurers on the ride of their lives!

SCHOOL OF ROCK: Live in Concert: Celebrating the hit Paramount film "School of Rock" this wildly energetic, high-voltage, live rock concert features extraordinary, raw acoustics and first-rate rock concert theatrics. The Paramount Theatre will buzz with concert quality audio, spectacular lights, video and special effects. The cast includes a live band performing a list of unforgettable rock and roll classics. Show starts Saturday, June 11.

WaterWorks: Paramount's Kings Dominion's 19-acre water park offers spills and thrills, including Pipeline Peak, a totally twisted complex of four water slides! Best of all, admission to WaterWorks is included with the regular park admission ticket or with a Season Pass. Beginning this weekend, WaterWorks will be open daily at noon through September 5.

Starbucks Coffee, the leading retailer, roaster and brand of specialty coffee in the world, and Cinnabon, the worldwide leader in the cinnamon roll bakery category, launch operations at Paramount's Kings Dominion this season, joining the park's lineup of delicious dining options. Starbucks and Cinnabon are located on International Street.
