News: Six Flags America Shooting

By Jerry Huster

Jun. 13th, 2005 -- According to Associated Press reports, a shoot-out took place on the parking lot of Six Flags America Sunday evening, June 5th.  No one was hurt with the exception of one man who was cut by broken glass.

Details are few, however, it has been determined that an argument broke out between the occupants of two vehicles on the lot which escalated when each vehicle's occupants took out handguns and began shooting at one another.

While no one was hit with a bullet during the brawl, broken glass and other debris from ricocheted bullets caused one man to suffer minor cuts.

Six Flags America employs the use of metal detectors for entrance to the the park itself, but nothing to detect such weapons being brought onto the parking lot.
