Two people submitted the winning name, Swing Shot. Both can bring 31 guests to attend Swing Shot's opening next spring. Kennywood general manager Jerome Gibas said the name was chosen for it's "originality and descriptiveness".

Out of the 11,949 entries, random Seasonal Team Members narrowed the entries down to 44 names. Those 44 were then reduced to 12 and then eight, which were posted in an online poll on the Kennywood website. Swing Shot was chosen from the top three winners in the poll.
