News: Dan Snyder ousts Six Flags mascot

By Chris L

Dec. 6th, 2005 -- It's the end of the line for Mr. Six. Dan Snyder, the newly-chosen head of Six Flags, plans on getting rid of the quirky dancing octogenarian who has served as the company mascot in recent years.

The move to get rid of Mr. Six is part of Snyder's overall plan to shift the company's attention from teenage thrillseekers to children and families, whom marketing experts say Mr. Six doesn't appeal to. Snyder says he plans on creating partnerships with businesses such as cartoon studios.
