Jan. 9th, 2006 --
Jack Krantz, the founder of Adventureland theme park in Iowa, died over the weekend in Des Moines. He was 76. An Iowa native, Krantz founded home-improvement businesses. He built Adventureland in the 1970's because he saw that there was a void for thrills in Iowa. Adventureland has blossomed into a 164-acre complex with a campground, inn and amusement park. See the Des Moines Register for more. |
