News: Dorney Park will get a new mid-sized ride

By Kyle L

Feb. 7th, 2004 -- Dorney Park in Pennsylvania is adding a new mid size attraction for the 2004 season. The increasing profits and attendance is creating new possibilities to add new attractions for the park.

The park's attendance and profits continue to grow with each attraction addition. In 1997, Steel Force was added, which boosted nearly 1.2 million guests annually. In 2001, Dorney Park introduced Talon which added to the attendance and profits as well. Meteor was added in 2002 and White Water Kingdom was renovated in 2003. The attendance and profits keep growing.

The only thing stopping Dorney Park from getting more profits is the weather. The location of the park is venerable to lots of rain. Rainfall was at an all time high last year. Dick Kinzel hopes for better weather this year.
