News: Lake Winnie announces Oh-Zone

Mar. 28th, 2006 -- All winter long, Lake Winnepesaukah has been gearing up for the new season.

The 14-story drop tower is the only one of its kind in the state of Tennessee and will be the tallest attraction at the park when it opens for the season April 1.

The park's newest thrill ride will be named Oh-Zone and will act as an illuminated billboard for the park as well. Construction on the structure was completed March 15th.

The park moved the Fly-O-Plane to another section of the park to make way for this new star attraction. The new ride will more the double the height of the Cannon Ball roller coaster. The new ride will be the tallest in the park at 140 feet tall and dropping at 50 mph giving riders 4.6 G's on their way down the tower.
