News: Magic Mountain's Log Jammer damaged

By Chris L

Apr. 5th, 2006 -- Log Jammer at Six Flags Magic Mountain was damaged after a forklift dented one of the turns.

Crews were performing regular maintenance on the log flume ride when a forklift "slipped about four feet" and landed on its side on the ride, a park spokeswoman said. She said one of the drivers forgot to put blocks on the forklift, which caused it to hit the ride.

It is unknown how long the ride will be closed.

Log Jammer opened with the park in 1971. It lasts about three minutes as it winds around trees and the park's hilly terrain.
