 Jun. 12th, 2006 -- Six Flags Great Adventure has unleashed America's second tallest and fastest wooden roller coaster. Guests daring to challenge its 4400-feet of twisted track will find themselves careening around steeply banked curves and flying over the tops of numerous hills designed to accentuate the sensation of weightlessness - all highlighted by an opening drop sloped at 76-degrees, the steepest on any wood coaster in the world.“El Toro breaks new ground for wooden roller coasters, and is the perfect addition to our world-class coaster collection. El Toro anchors a brand new area of Six Flags Great Adventure, called Plaza del Carnaval, that transplants the vigor and vitality of coastal Mexico into the Jackson-based park.
