Rides at the former Libertyland amusement park were auctioned off on Wednesday. The historic Zippin Pippin roller coaster sold for just $2,500.Other rides of note were Kamikaze! (Fabbri Kamikaze), which garnered the most money at $190,000. Rebellion, a Fabbri Dropzone, sold for $155,000. Also, the park's other major coaster, Revolution (Arrow Loop & Corkscrew) sold for $55,000. The purchaser of Zippin Pippin wants to keep just one of the cars from the ride and is working with the American Coaster Enthusiasts to possibly relocate the ride.
