Jul. 21st, 2006 -- A Los Angeles County supervisor wants to negotiate the status of Six Flags Magic Mountain's proposed sale. Supervisors are interested in annexing SFMM. Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich sent a letter to Six Flags CEO Mark Shapiro requesting a meeting. An Antonovich aide said, "The supervisor is committed to ensuring Six Flags Magic Mountain remains a theme park." Six Flags recently announced it plans to sell six parks, including SFMM and its water park Hurricane Harbor, to help relieve a debt. For more information, visit the LA Daily News. |
