Jul. 30th, 2006 --
A 45-year-old woman was injured Saturday after riding the Twist and Shout roller coaster at the Magic Springs amusement park in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Police say that Felicia Robinson of Memphis, Tennessee was riding the small roller coaster when the centrifugal force of the ride pushed her out of the car and caused her to land 15 feet from the ride. Robinson was taken to the local hospital where she is currently listed in stable condition. This was the first accident the park has had since undertaking new ownership six years ago and park officials say the rides are inspected every day and are safe.
