News: Teen injured on Busch Gardens coaster By James R

Aug. 13th, 2006 -- A teenager sustained fractures in his leg while at Busch Gardens Europe. On August 11, a 17-year-old suffered fractures to his femur while riding the inverted roller coaster, Alpengeist. He was airlifted to Children's Hospital of the Kings Daughters in Norfolk. Busch Gardens officials said that the teen had pre-existing medical conditions involving the bones in his leg. City officials believe the teenager will be alright after treatment.
