News: Work progresses on Hersheypark's Boardwalk

Jan. 18th, 2007 -- The milder-than-average winter has aided the construction of Hersheypark's new Boardwalk. The Boardwalk is 60 percent complete and should be ready for it's late May target for opening.

The park hopes to have almost all construction done by April 1st. One interactive water-play area is already complete and is going through testing and adjustments.

The Boardwalk, with a price tag of almost $20 million, is the most expensive expansion in the history of Hersheypark. The park is celebrating its 100th birthday during the 2007 season.
