With Kings Island preparing to celebrate its 35th anniversary this year, the park will receive a "major new thrill ride". The park has confirmed that something big is coming and parent company Cedar Fair has set aside $10 million for the ride's construction. An official announcement is scheduled for Feb. 5, but there is already significant speculation that Kings Island will be receiving X Flight, a flying coaster that stood at Geauga Lake from 2001 until 2006. Neon green track, similar to the type that made up X Flight, has been spotted at Kings Island. The new ride is part of the $83 million for capital investments that Cedar Fair plans to spend for 2007 nationwide. See The Enquirer and The Oxford Press for more. |
