News: Bank forecloses on former Miracle Strip siteBy Wes |
|
Feb. 15th, 2007 -- The site of the former Miracle Strip Amusement Park is in limbo once more. After the park closed its gates in 2004, the site was supposed to be the home to new high-end condos. The bank is foreclosing on the Miracles Resort Park. Only 49 out of 243 condos sold for the first phase. No one associated with the project would confirm the latest development, or give a reason for the project's failure, but it appears lack-luster sales were the biggest problem. The sales office is vacant and stripped bare of furnishings. There is no word yet on whether anyone else will build at the sight. The land is set to be auctioned off in August.
