Apr. 9th, 2007 -- Among the many attractions at the new Hard Rock Park in Myrtle Beach, there will be two new roller coasters.  One of the coasters will jam to 80s tunes and another will blast Southern rock.  A Jamaican-themed water play area, a stunt show and a new amphitheater are part of the lineup for the new park.

The park will feature six zones or lands that will feature everything from the British Invasion to the music of the South.

Developers of the 140-acre park kicked off a six-city promotional tour today at the Hard Rock Café in New York City.  At each stop, they will take acquire a piece of Rock memorabilia that will go into the park.

The park is scheduled to open in April 2008. Tickets will sell for $46.

"We've been dreaming up Hard Rock Park for the last few years and we can't wait to start showing people what they can expect to experience," Steven Goodwin, the park's CEO, said in a news release Monday morning. "From the innovative technology to develop the rides and the entertainment experience to the truly priceless memorabilia we will have on display and special events we will host, visitors can expect a new standard of fun to rock fans of all ages."
