Special Features: Update: In Memoriam: Daniel T. Miller (DemonHunter4337)

By Wes

Sep. 4th, 2007 -- It is with deep sadness that ThrillNetwork must report the passing of one of our fellow members, Daniel Miller or as most probably knew him by his screen name: DemonHunter4337. He also posted at ThemeParkReview.com under the screen name of Masked_Maverick.

Dan died August 30 following a four-car accident, August 24 during rush hour traffic on I-90.

Dan was an avid roller coaster enthusiast, a member of ACE (the American Coaster Enthusiasts) and traveled the country touring amusement parks and doing research for a book he was writing about roller coasters.

Services for Daniel T. Miller, 25, of Kirtland, Ohio, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in Christian L.I.F.E. Church, 8250 Garfield Road, Mentor, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Lake County Humane Society, 7564 Tyler Boulevard, Mentor, OH 44060.

Because of the contributions Dan made as a member of this site, he has been named a honorary staff member of ThrillNetwork.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Dan’s family.

For more information, visit Dan's obituary here.

To donate to The Lake County Humane Society, please see the thread on Theme Park Review.

Dan's mother sent the following message to all at ThrillNetwork:

This is Dan's mom and I just wanted to thank you for all of your kind words and that of the other members of ThrillNetwork.

As I scrolled down through all of the posts, the tears started flowing at all the fond memories of those whom Dan never met, but evidently touched in this forum. I too, hope that Dan is riding that "Big Roller Coaster" in the sky and will be awaiting us all for our first ride when it is our time to go.

Many thanks to all those who contributed to the Lake County Humane Society in his memory. I know that Dan would have appreciated it and I know that the Humane Society does as well.

Dan did get to enjoy his day at the amusement park in PA that he and his friend attended and his friend, while suffering from cuts and bruises is trying to deal will Dan's death as well as they can.

Again, my thanks to all those who posted and please feel free to share this with the group.

Sincerely,

Tisha Miller
