 Jan. 3rd, 2008 -- With the purchase of the former Paramount Parks by Cedar Fair, park patrons knew that some things would eventually get a makeover.Carowinds website has now revealed the new names for two of the most popular coasters at Carowinds, located in Charlotte, NC. Top Gun - The Jet Coaster will now be known as “Flight Deck” and Borg Assimilator will now be called “Nighthawk”. The other coasters and rides at the park seem to be keeping their current names.
