News: Frontier City to add suspended roller coaster

Apr. 5th, 2008 -- Frontier City will add a multi-million dollar new roller coaster for the 2008 season. Construction on the Steel Lasso has yet to begin.


The family suspended coaster will be 49 feet tall and have a length of 965 feet. The trains will hold 16 passengers and will reach speeds of 30 miles per hour. The coaster is being specifically designed for the park, although officials did not comment on the manufacturer of the ride.

Officials expect the ride will be open by early summer.
