Apr. 17th, 2008 -- Marvin Sylvor, who designed more than 60 carousels that operate around the world, died April 9 in Miami.
The cause was kidney failure, said his brother, Robert. Sylvor’s creations operate in places like Bolivia, Brazil, New Zealand, the United States and Singapore. One of his more recent creations has become well known, in part because of it’s location in the backyard of the New York Public Library. Marvin Sylvor was 75.
