Apr. 5th, 2004 -- The new anchor of Dollywood's Thunderhead Gap is already a big hit after just one weekend. Thunderhead, the new monster terrain wooden roller coaster, has arrived. While the weather didn't cooperate, the ride opened anyway. The new wooden coaster is built between two mountains, which allowed designer Mike Boodley to design a unique layout with GCII's comfortable Millenium Flyer trains. The fourth annual Festival of Nations also kicked off over the weekend, and it runs through May 9th. For more information: |
