Finance: Miracle Strip Amusement Park Sold By Jill Anne

Apr. 14th, 2004 -- This is the last season for Miracle Strip Amusement Park. The park is being sold to a developer who is interested in the waterfront property next to the county pier. All rides and attractions will be removed within the year. There have been offers to buy some of the equipment to open another amusement park close by locally. However, since Waterfront is closing because it is not profitable, it would be just as difficult for an upstart park to open and make a profit. The owners are not selling Shipwreck Island Water Park, and some employees will be transferred there. Get more information at WJHG News.
